IMCA Late Model veterans chase $500 bonuses at Marshalltown Deery 

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 27) – Veterans of the IMCA Late Model division are in the running for a pair of $500 bonuses when Marshalltown Speedway hosts the Deery Brothers Summer Se­ries on Tuesday, June 2. The Miller Lite 50 tour event pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Former promoter Steve Priske, now the owner of Rumour’s Bar & Grill in Marshalltown, will also pay a $500 bonus to the highest finishing Late Model driver who competed at Marshalltown be­tween 1985 and 1990, plus another $500 bonus if that driver can win the main event. Jeff Aikey of Cedar Falls, a seven-time tour champion, took home both bonuses from the Deery feature held last year, during the track’s 50th anniversary season. Memorial Day Hawkeye Dirt Tour show canceled 

MASON CITY, Iowa (May 25) – The Memorial Day IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour event at I-35 Speedway has been canceled due to the weekend of wet weather. Up next in the series for touring IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds is the Tuesday, June 9 show at Jackson County Speedway. The Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models is also at Maquoketa that evening.

Diamond Mountain hosts May 29, 30 Racing For a Reason

VERNAL, Utah – The inaugural Racing for a Reason Rumble at Diamond Mountain Speedway boasts a pair of $1,000 to win features for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds this Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30. Racing for a Reason Rumble is designed to be an annual event and help various recipients in need. The 2015 recipient is six-year-old Kaden McCormick of Roosevelt, Utah, who is in need of another kidney transplant. Both Modified features are 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers and pay a minimum of $125 to start. Twenty Modifieds will take the green flag in each 20-lap main event. Battle Mountain hosts May 30 Iturriaga Memorial for IMCA Modifieds

BATTLE MOUNTAIN, Nev. – Battle Mountain Race­way hosts its second annual Iturriaga NAPA Memo­rial special this Saturday, May 30. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a spot on the ballot for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. IMCA Southern SportMods go topless in $5,000 to win event at Route 66 on May 30 

AMARILLO, Texas (May 24) – A top prize of $5,000 is on the line for Route 66 Motor Speedway’s Saturday, May 30 topless special for Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods. Twenty cars will take the green flag for the main event, with $2,500 paid for second, $1,500 for third and $1,000 for fourth. Minimum start money is $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points, but no local track points will be given. Entry fee is $100. Stuart’s Ron Little/Bones Memorial rescheduled for June 14

STUART, Iowa (May 24) – Tonight’s Ron Little/Bones Memorial for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds at Stuart Speedway has been rescheduled due to inclement weather to Sunday, June 14. Modifieds chase a $1,000 check at the 15th annual event. If not already vote eligible, the winner becomes a ballot candidate for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Three dates announced for Dominick Bruns Memorial Challenge Cup Chase

DANUBE, Minn. – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will race for $1,000 to win on each of three Dominick Bruns Memorial Challenge Cup Chase dates. Jackson Speedway hosts the opening night show on Saturday, May 30. The Chase is at Murray County Speedway in Slayton on Friday, July 17 and at Redwood Speedway in Redwood Falls on Sunday, July 26. The top driver in point standings for the three nights earns a $1,000 share of the $2,000 series point fund and becomes eligible to qualify for the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. BOONE, Iowa – Still looking for a repeat winner this season, the Deery Brothers Summer Series travels to Boone Speedway for its traditional Memorial Day show next Monday, May 25. Corey Zeitner, defending champion Justin Kay, Joel Callahan and seven-time IMCA Late Model tour champ Jeff Aikey each have single series wins so far. Veterans’ Appreciation Night Friday 
at Clay County Fair Speedway
