ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 2, 2023) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers have another 1,000 reasons to get Abilene Speedway’s IMCA.TV Ice Breaker on their early-season race schedule.  The winner’s share of Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 main events for The Class Too Tough To Tame have been upped by $500, so both events boast $1,500 top checks and make the winning drivers eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,200 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both nights, while features for Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods pay $1,000 to win and the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts $350 to win.  Start money is $100 for both Modifieds and Stocks, $75 for SportMods and $35 for Sport Compacts.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, GRT Race Cars South Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, Texas State and track points will be awarded for both draw/redraw programs. IMCA STARS Mod Lites chase sweet $7,500 top check at 4th Sugar Bowl Winter Nationals

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2022) – A sweet $7,500 awaits the winner of the IMCA STARS Mod Lite Sugar Bowl Winters Nationals. Hendry County Motorsports Park hosts the fourth annual special, presented by Sunoco Race Fuels, on Feb. 8-11, 2023. Saturday night’s main event pays a minimum of $500 to start with Yoshimura bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 to be awarded to the top three finishers.  Full race programs are scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday Feb. 9-11 with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Florida State points awarded each of those nights. Harris Auto Racing, B & B Racing Chassis signed for Luxemburg Racing Show

(Oct. 31, 2022) – Harris Auto Racing of Boone, Iowa, and B & B Chassis of Belle Plaine, Minn., are among the early registrants for the eighth annual Luxemburg Racing Show, which will return to the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds Exposition Building in Luxemburg, Wis., on  Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023.  According to show organizer Derek Moede, Kyle Brown will bring a new 2023 Harris Auto Racing SportMod chassis to show off while B & B owner Paul Burger will debut a new edition of a 2023 Stock Car chassis. “We’re excited to have these vendors from out of state come and support our show,” said Moede. “With this show now in its eighth year, it’s awesome to see the growth we continue to experience each year. CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Oct. 28, 2022) – IMCA drivers will be Central Arizona Raceway bound for a pair of rich November specials.      First is the Saturday, Nov. 5 Grand Re-reopening at Casa Grande, when fan favorite Ken Schrader joins the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds running for $2,000 to win. Then it’s the Nov. 18-20 Showdown, highlighted by a $3,000 to win feature for the Modifieds on the final night. Abilene’s Southern Challenge boasts $2,500 checks for IMCA Modified, Stock Car, Southern SportMod winners 

ABILENE, Texas (Sept. 29, 2022) –  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods all race for $2,500 top checks at Abilene Speedway’s 28th annual Ryan Bard Memorial Southern Challenge Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14 and 15.      The Modified feature pays a minimum of $300 to start with the winner becoming eligible to qualify for the 2023 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational; both Stock Car and SportMod features pay a minimum of $200 to start, with the Stock Car winner eligible to qualify for the 2023 B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.  Each of those features will be 30 laps and tow money in all three divisions is $100.   Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $1,250 to win and $100 to start their 20-lap main event. Bowers Memorial West Coast Nationals slated this weekend at Antioch

(Sept. 28, 2022) – This weekend marks the biggest race of the year for the IMCA sanctioned divisions at Antioch Speedway.  It’s the third running of the Bill Bowers Memorial West Coast Nationals. The popular Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will be competing on the 3/8 mile clay oval.   The race pays tribute to long-time engine man Bill Bowers. He and JD Willis teamed up for many wins through the years and both are members of the Antioch Speedway Hall of Fame. Bill continued to be involved with son Billy’s team, which has won several more championships, including five with driver Troy Foulger. When Bill passed away, long-time employer and new promoter Chad Chadwick decided to rename the West Coast Nationals in his honor. ARDMORE, Okla. (Sept. 27, 2022) – Three IMCA divisions take to the 3/8-mile clay oval at Southern Oklahoma Speedway this weekend for the 18th annual Jordan Page Memorial Winter Nationals.  Main events on Saturday, Oct. 1 see Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $2,500 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods chase a $1,500 top check and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,000 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Top 12 drivers are locked in during Friday qualifying and the final 12 cars in last-chance races on Saturday. Kennedale Speedway Park remembers Kirk Martin at 16th annual Showdown

KENNEDALE, Texas (Sept. 26, 2022) – Kennedale Speedway Park remembers a fixture in the Texas racing scene during the 16th annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown Sept. 29-Oct. 1. The weekend Kirk Martin Memorial program sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $3,069 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $2,069 to win and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods for $1,569 to win.  The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier with $1,500 paid for second and $1,000 for third. Minimum start money is $300. The Stock Car feature is a B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier and pays $1,069 for second and a minimum of $200 to start. Maquoketa Speedway to host inaugural Gil Short Memorial 

By Jerry Mackey  MAQUOKETA, Iowa (Sept. 19, 2022) – Maquoketa Speedway will bring the 2022 racing season to a close this weekend with the first annual running of the Gil Short Memorial. Two full nights of racing will be held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds quarter-mile dirt track. Short was the chief and founder of the Speedway Fire Rescue group that serves many Eastern Iowa race tracks by providing safety equipment and personnel.  The Friday, Sept. 23 program sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds headlining the action with a $1,200 first place prize on the line. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods battle it out for a $750 top prize, also racing will be the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.
