2013 IMCA point season ends Sunday, Sept. 29

VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 25) – The 2013 IMCA weekly point season ends this Sunday, Sept. 29. Final races are scheduled for the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact classes, as well as West Coast Super Stocks. No events, weekly or special, rained out this weekend will be allowed to be rescheduled and run for points. Information released Wednesday stating that regular season championship programs would be made up for points in the first week of October was incorrect. Four IMCA divisions featured at Cardinal’s Raulston Memorial

EUNICE, N.M. – Four IMCA divisions run both nights of Cardinal Speedway’s Blake Raulston Memorial this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $400 to win Friday and for $1,000 to win in their Saturday night Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods both chase $300 top checks on Friday and $750 prizes on Saturday. Dave Hubbard Memorial Fall Challenge Sept. 28 at Hamilton County Speedway

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $1,500 to win this Saturday, Sept. 28, during the inaugural Dave Hubbard Memorial Fall Challenge at Hamilton County Speedway. The feature is a qualifier for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Top prize for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods is $1,000. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $750 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win. BEATRICE, Neb. – The traditional season-ending special at Beatrice Speedway moves to this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, meaning IMCA points will be awarded in five divisions at September Fest. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified features are on the card both nights, pay $1,500 to win and a minimum of $125 to start. WWMT All-Star Race set for Oct. 4, 5 at Millard County

DELTA, Utah – The 2013 EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Modified Tour All-Star Race will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5 at Millard County Raceway. The special is presented by Hansen Web-Design, Forty laps is the distance for IMCA SportMods on Friday and 50 laps is the distance for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds on Saturday. During both races, the field will stop at halfway for fuel only and the field may be shuffled for the last half. A drawing on the front stretch will determine the positions that will be shuffled. Modified qualifying will be on Friday. Drivers not previously locked into the main event must run compete in a heat and possibly a “B” feature to qualify for the All-Star Race. LUBBOCK, Texas – The winners of three IMCA main events take home $2,000 checks from Lubbock Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21 Fall Brawl. Two grand is the top prize for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $1,000 to win. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Features for three IMCA sanctioned divisions are on the program for both nights of the Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21 World Nationals at Marshalltown Speedway. Both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod features pay $1,000 to win while both IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock features pay $500 to win. Race for Deery Series crown decided this weekend at Independence, Davenport

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (Sept. 17) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series championship will be decided when touring IMCA Late Models visit Independence and Davenport this weekend. Brian Harris takes a 26-point lead over Justin Kay into the Friday, Sept. 20 event at Independence Motor Speedway, while Andy Eckrich is another 22 points behind in third and defending champion Jeff Aikey is another nine points off the pace. The tour finale is Saturday, Sept. 21 at Davenport Speedway. Both Harris and Kay are armed with provisionals so they’re guaranteed to start both main events, as are Eckrich and Aikey.
