Inaugural Dakota Track Side Northern SportMod series is July 1-4 

MINOT, N.D. – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod drivers have four more reasons to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday. The inaugural Dakota Track Side-sponsored tour travels to three different North Dakota tracks from July 1-4 for $700 to win, minimum $100 to start events. Nodak Speedway hosts Friday, July 1 and Monday, July 4 dates, with Southwest Speedway host­ing the Saturday, July 2 show and Williston Basin Speedway rolling out the red carpet for the Sun­day, July 3 event. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points, but no local track points will be awarded each night. Dubuque Speedway to host Tri-Track Challenge

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque Speedway will host a special night of racing featuring the Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge. Out Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Models will tackle the high banks of Dubuque Speedway on Sunday, May 29 with a 50-lap main event headlining the racing program with the winner pocket­ing a cool $2,000. In addition to the high-powered Late Models the Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modifieds, GSI Colli­sion Specialists IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Stock Cars will all be in action. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with the first race scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Following the races a fan apprecia­tion party will be held in the Beer Garden with music and refreshments being provided by SPI Promotions.

Two Memorial Weekend main events for IMCA Modifieds at Santa Maria Nationals

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (May 24) – A pair of $1,000 to win fea­tures for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified fea­tures are on programs for the May 28 and 29 Na­tionals at Santa Maria Raceway. Both Saturday and Sunday races are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational bal­lot. URSS Rebels ready for Colorado/Kansas tripleheader weekend 

BYERS, Colo. – The 2016 United Rebel Sprint Series returns to Colorado Motorsports Park Satur­day night. The 3/8-mile oval hosted several events last season and will host the second of eight races in 2016. The Colorado region is thick with talent, both young guns and seasoned veter­ans and looks to be ultra-competitive again this season. In the last visit to the CMSP oval, 18 racers made the trek with Zac Taylor scoring his first victory of the 2016 URSS/IMCA EMI RaceSaver Series Colorado Region. Mark Walinder, Jed Werner, Adam Trimble and Austin McLean rounded out the top five. Drivers from Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma are also expected to make the trip to Colorado for an action-packed night. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing action at 7 p.m. Colorado Motorsports Park is located 44 miles east of Denver, I-70 exit no. 316. Deery Series has Memorial Day date at Boone Speedway

BOONE, Iowa (May 24) – Boone Speedway rolls out the red carpet on Memorial Day for the tradi­tional holiday visit by the Deery Brothers Summer Series. The Monday, May 30 show marks the 45th appearance at Boone by the IMCA Late Model tour. This will be the 14th event to be held there on Memorial Day. Two thousand dollars will be paid to win and a minimum of $300 paid to start the main event. VINTON, Iowa – The best Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified drivers from across the Hawkeye State and much of the Midwest converge on Benton County Speedway next Monday, May 30 for the first of a dozen 2016 Hawkeye Dirt Tour events. STUART, Iowa – Stuart Speedway hosts its 16th annual Ron Little Memorial on Sunday, May 29, with a $2,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying feature for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds at the top of the card. Hawthorne Speedway grand reopening is Saturday 

HAWTHORNE, Nev. – The grand reopening for Hawthorne Speedway is Saturday, May 21, as Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds take to the quarter-mile oval for their first of six 2016 events at the Nevada speedplant. Racing starts at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Iron Man Challenge Series comes to town on June 27 and 28. Other sanctioned dates are July 9 and Sept. 3 and 4. Hawthorne is part of IMCA’s Larry Shaw Racing Western Region.

Davenport Speedway hosts May 20 Modified Madness 50 

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The winner of the headline event earns $2,000 at Davenport Speedway’s Modified Madness 50 on Friday, May 20. The 50-lap feature for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds is a qualifying event for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
