Bloomfield Speedway back in action with March 29, 30 IMCA Frost Out

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (March 15, 2024) – Bloomfield Speedway is back in action March 29 and 30, with Frost Out features for five IMCA divisions both nights. Friday and Saturday main events for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods each pay $1,250 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $600 to win and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts for $400 to win. Entry fee for each draw/redraw show is $50 for the Mods, Stocks and SportMods, $25 for Hobbies and $20 for Sport Compacts. Future at Saltcity begins with four IMCA divisions

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (March 14, 2024) – While he’s yet to promote his first race at Saltcity Racing, Phil Nightingale has already started looking to the future of the big half-mile dirt race track. Nightingale takes charge of Saltcity Racing-branded programs that feature four IMCA divisions this season at the venerable Kansas State Fairgrounds facility. “My whole life has been in the automotive world,” explained Nightingale, first a spectator and later a competitor at Hutchinson. “The fair board voted in 2022 to tear the track down but we went to them with a proposal last September.” “I don’t want to see this track die. Beatrice Speedway postpones Spring Nationals to March 22, 23

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 13, 2024) – A recent snowfall measured at 3-1/2 inches cost Beatrice Speedway invaluable track prep time, and the result is postponement of the season-opening Spring Nationals. The 31st annual special at Beatrice has been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23 and track officials believe the extra week will provide the time they need to have the racing surface ready for competitors in five IMCA divisions. WaKeeney adds to IMCA history with 2024 sanction

WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 13, 2024) – A Kansas track rich in IMCA racing history writes another new chapter beginning in 2024. WaKeeney Speedway hosts five dates for five sanctioned divisions this season, beginning with the April 19-20 Buzzard Bash Dash. New link connects drivers to IMCA contingency awards

VINTON, Iowa (March 6, 2024) – A few clicks on the keyboard is all it will take for drivers in any IMCA division to make themselves eligible for contingency awards to be given for the 2024 race season. Drivers can click here to go to the form, which is also on the IMCA website using the forms menu, to complete the process in a matter of minutes. Drivers will be asked to indicate the make of cylinder head, shock and spring they compete with this season, and attach a picture of their car displaying required decal placement. “This is a quick and easy one-stop process,” said IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “No paperwork is involved and drivers can make themselves eligible for point fund shares and contingency awards and then focus on racing.” Decal packets are mailed from the IMCA home office daily.

Sitton Classic RaceSaver Sprint win has Fifield smiling

GREENVILLE, Texas (March 2, 2024) – Justin Fifield was all smiles Saturday night, and not just because he’d won the top-paying event of his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car career. Fifield led start to finish of the Smiley Sitton Classic at Hunt County Raceway, outrunning a star-filled field for a $3,000 payday. “Our car was just really good. Texas Grand win is career seventh for Babbitt

CLEVELAND, Texas (March 2, 2024) – The Texas Grand has been a racing tradition for nearly three decades and Corey Babbitt has made a tradition of winning the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite at the 105 Motor Speedway special. The New Caney driver led all but the first of 30 laps Saturday night in earning his career seventh Texas Grand crown and $1,500. “We had two grooves to race on. They dropped the green and we took off,” said Babbitt, who negotiated heavy lapped traffic and then put some distance on the rest of the field in a green, white, checkered finish.
