By Don Martin II ANTIOCH, Calif. (May 7, 2022) – Kellen Chadwick won the 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event Saturday at Antioch Speedway. This was the second win of the season for Chadwick.  Sean Wilson led the opening lap ahead of Bobby Motts Jr. before the yellow flag waved. Following the next yellow, DeCarlo Jr continued to lead with Chadwick moving into second on the lap six restart.  Chadwick ultimately made an inside move on the backstretch on lap 17 to take over. Motts started pressuring DeCarlo a little bit for the second position as Chadwick pulled away. Murty, Thornton, Olson race to opening night wins at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (May 8, 2022) – After Mother Nature twice delayed season opening action, weekly points racing made a successful return Sunday night to Benton County Speedway. Also making a successful return was a familiar face in victory lane following the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Dallon Murty won an entertaining battle with his father, Damon, to score the win. The father and son drew front row starting spots and proceeded to put on a show for the duration of the 15-lapper. Never separated by more than a car-length, the Murtys battled for the lead from the onset. Dallon, who spent much of the event chasing Damon, snuck ahead with a last-lap pass to secure the victory. Kaden Reynolds and Jason Doyle completed the top four. Late-race excitement was also in store for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by KISS Country 96.5. Joel Rust secured the early lead from his pole position start and quickly built a sizable lead while Dylan Thornton began his pursuit from the fifth row. Rust’s lead was just over [Read More]

Early leads are formula for success at Off Road Speedway

By Randy Pospishil sports@norfolkdailynews  NORFOLK, Neb. (May 7, 2022) – Drivers capitalized on starting positions at or near the front of the field Saturday night at Off Road Speedway. Winners in three of the four regular classes started on the outside of the front row with the outlier, Cory Dumpert, occupying the outside position in the second row, although each had to hold off challengers during caution restarts, especially late in the race.  Dumpert, who finished second in the previous IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature after starting in the fifth row, took over the lead from Zach Zentner following a caution that brought Zentner back to the pack.  Dumpert passed Zentner on the outside with 20 laps remaining and held off Zentner’s bids to retake the lead for several laps before Tad Pospisil took over second place and the chase continued.  Three cautions, the last creating a green, white, checkered finish, gave Pospisil and Zentner opportunities on the restarts but the three-time defending national champion held off any attempts to pass and sped to IMCA [Read More]
