IMCA crate engine competitors chase track title bonuses from Chevrolet Performance

GRAND BLANC, Mich. – IMCA drivers competing with crate engines chase local track champion­ship bonuses from Chevrolet Performance again this season. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Scoggin-Dickey Southern SportMod drivers all earn $250 bonuses for each track championship earned exclusively with a crate under the hood. Florida IMCA Modified driver wins Brinn transmission drawing

BAY CITY, Mich. – Jimmy McDaniel was the winner of the annual drawing for a new transmission courtesy of Brinn. The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified driver from Milton, Fla., became eligible for that drawing through the Bay Area Emerald Coast Tour. He finished fourth in final point standings for the inaugural series. Brinn, of Bay City, Mich., will give $50 product certificates to top five place finishers at 30 IMCA special events again in 2016. Early season addition planned by IMCA Modified title sponsor Xtreme Motor Sports

GREAT BEND, Kan. – Business is booming for the title sponsor of IMCA’s Modified division. So much so, in fact, that Xtreme Motor Sports will add a 50×100-foot addition to its Great Bend, Kan., shop next month. The builder of 1st Class Modified and Northern SportMod chassis, Xtreme acquired both Chubby Chassis, which manufactures Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks, and Belleville Motorsports, which builds Modifieds and Northern SportMods, in 2015. “We had a great year last year and it’s going to be even better this year,” predicted Xtreme man­ager and long-time Modified driver Mike Petersilie. “We’re so swamped it’s ridiculous.
