Liberty 100, Super Nationals shows next for Deery Series

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – A pair of $3,000 to win features for Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers are on the Saturday, Sept. 5 card during West Liberty Raceway’s Ready Mix Liberty 100 Weekend. IMCA Late Model tour points will be awarded for the first of those 50-lap features. The regular Deery purse will be paid at both. Qualifying for the Late Models, as well as Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts starts on Friday, Sept. 4. Also scheduled on opening night is the $1,000 to win 20-lap Ideal Ready Mix Iron Man Challenge, open to all Deery Series drivers with perfect attendance this season and former Deery champions. Early registration deadline now Sept. 3 for Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – With more than 500 early entries already in hand, the early registration deadline for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s has been bumped back to Thursday, Sept. 3. Drivers from more than 20 states, Canada and Australia have already pre-entered for the Sept. 7-12 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway. “We are still getting a lot of calls from drivers interested in competing at Super Nationals. They can call the home office (319 472-2201) to get pre-entered,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “Obviously, the sooner they get this done, the better.” “We would liked to have extended this deadline by one more day,” he added, “but we’ll be finalizing Late Model points early next week and trying to get a lot of things done before we go to Boone.”

Duffer Nationals Golf Tourney is Friday during Super Nationals 

BOONE, Iowa – Cedar Pointe Golf Course is site of the 26th annual Duffer Nationals Tournament, to be held Friday, Sept. 11. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. for the four-person best best shot tournament. Cost is $40 per person, which includes nine holes of golf, a golf cart and lunch. Entries will be taken right up until tee time. Each team must have at least one Super Nationals participant in order to compete. The winning foursome earns $200 with $100 paid to the second place team. Remaining proceeds are donated to a local charity. First to register for Super Nationals, McCarthy now has sights on making the Saturday show

HUTTO, Texas – Now that he’s got one Super Nationals first under his belt, Mike McCarthy is hoping to accomplish bigger and better things at the 33rd annual version of America’s Racin’ Vacation. The Modified veteran from Hutto, Texas, was first to pre-register for the Sept. 7-12 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Like all of the 800-plus drivers making the trip to Boone Speedway next month, McCarthy has his sights set on making the Saturday night main event. “We always have a good time at Super Nationals. IMCA marketing partners fill Manufacturers’ Row

BOONE, Iowa – Nearly 40 vendors fill Manufacturers’ Row during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. IMCA marketing partners will offer a wide range of high performance products for use during the week of Sept. 7-12. They’ll also display new products being introduced and legal for use in IMCA competition in 2016. Manufacturers’ Row will be located in the northeast corner of the speedway grounds and open from approximately 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day and accessible through gates on the west and east. Main event qualifiers in 5 divisions get replica door panels, hoods from Five1seven Designs

BOONE, Iowa – As if the sense of accomplishment wasn’t enough, main event qualifiers in five divisions at upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will take home something extra for their efforts during the 33rd annual event. Five1seven Designs will give replica door panels to Modified and Northern SportMod qualifiers. Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact qualifiers all receive replica hoods. Honorary starters to assist with Saturday check presentation to Hope For The Warriors 

BOONE, Iowa – The three honorary starters for Saturday’s last-chance Modified features will also assist with the Saturday afternoon, Sept. 12 check presentation to Hope For the Warriors during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Ankeny-based Casey’s General Store, the presentation sponsor for Super Nationals, donates $10 for each heat race won by a Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod or Sport Compact driver displaying a Casey’s decal between Sept. 7 and Sept. 11. BOONE, Iowa – The sanctioning body’s centennial season was an easy choice for the best look­ing car contest theme at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Ca­sey’s. Best-looking Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods with an IMCA Centen­nial theme will be selected during the Sept. 7-12 event. Australian driver ending latest American racing vacation at IMCA Super Nationals

HERVEY BAY, QLD. – If there was a long tow award given at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, Frank Packer would be a shoo-in. The Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod driver calls Hervey Bay in Queensland, on the east coast of Australia, home. He’ll end his latest extended racing vacation to the United States by racing at Super Nationals for the first time. “I like the close competition. Saturday night champions get new engines from Karl Performance or Karl Chevrolet

BOONE, Iowa – Saturday night’s champions at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s are again guaranteed to go home with new engines, courtesy of Karl Perfor­mance and Karl Chevrolet. After the Sept. 12 race program is complete, the engines that powered Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod champions will be sold at a public auction in the infield at Boone Speedway. Modified, SportMod, or Hobby Stock champions who won titles with crate motors receive a new GM 604 or 602 crate from Karl Chevrolet. Drivers in any division winning with claim motors get engines from Karl Performance.
