Driver appreciation, free grandstand admission Friday at Farley

By Jerry Mackey FARLEY, Iowa – Farley Speedway will host a full program of IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing action this Friday, July 8, featuring free grandstand admission on Driver Appreciation Night. The 3/8-mile dirt oval will host six classes of race cars headlined by the IMCA Late Models. Hot laps get underway at 7 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks follow final checkers at Atchison County 

By Rick Staley ATCHISON, Kan. – Fireworks follow the final checkers Friday night, July 1 at Atchison County Raceway. Intermission sees an adult scavenger hunt on the infield for cash and prizes. If paid grandstand attendance is 500 or more, the track will draw a ticket number and award $750 to one very lucky fan. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline the IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly program. Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Admission for fans 13 and older is $12, for kids ages 6-12 $6 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30 or $15 for ages 5-12; all minors must have a release waiver signed by both par­ents.

Arlington Raceway collects for Sibley County Foodshare 

ARLINGTON, Minn. – Arlington Raceway collects non-perishable food items for Sibley County Foodshare during its Saturday, June 25 Jam The Stands and Jam The Trailer Salute to Agriculture Night. Fans get $1 off, with a maximum of $10, for each donated food item. All regular weekly divisions will be in action and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. Halfway to Dodge City titles … chase continues Saturday night

(June 23) – This Saturday’s H&H Roofing Night at Dodge City Raceway Park marks the halfway point of the 2016 season at the state-of-the-art 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas. IMCA hotshoes Nick Link, Kevin Tabor, Michael Pepper and Cody Davis are in the driver’s seat for 2016 track championships, but there is still plenty of time for major changes to take place. Saturday’s H&H Roofing Night action that goes green at 7:30 p.m. includes Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Fast Friday coming up at Cottage Grove

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. ­– The second Fast Friday of the season is Friday, June 24 at Cottage Grove Speedway. General admission for fans ages 13 and up will be $5. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are on both Fast Friday and the Saturday, June 25 Log­gers’ Cup cards. The IMCA Modifieds are coming off of a very busy schedule with the recent conclusion of the Wild West Shoot Out. Cottage Grove Speedway has already had 10 IMCA Modified events with an already impressive win list. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win tonight at Denison

DENISON, Iowa (June 17) – The winner of tonight’s Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature at Crawford County Speedway earns $1,000. There is no entry fee or registration fee for new cars. The runner-up earns $500 and third place pays $375, with the regular purse in place for all other finishing positions. The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier will be draw/redraw and headlines a Friday IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing program that also includes IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $9 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and over, military with ID and students, and six and under are free. Pit passes are $25. A drivers’ meet and greet will be held at intermission and kids are reminded to bring a pen or marker and anything they want autographed.

Forecast promising for Sunday show at Seymour 

SEYMOUR, Wis. – Seymour Raceway Park is getting set to host a full night of racing on the 1/3-mile banked clay oval on Sunday June 12. A very positive forecast promises the best weather conditions of the season, which has seen three out of four events rained out. The three regular weekly divisions, Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Street Stocks will be joined by the INEX Dirt Legends cars, making their second appearance of the season. The pit area opens at 3 p.m. with the grandstand opening at 4 p.m. Racing starts at 6 p.m.

Dodge City Raceway Park back in action this Saturday 

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – Dodge City Raceway Park will continue to be the place to be on Saturday nights with another full card of championship chase action atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in south­west Kansas on June 11. After sitting idle this past weekend, Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds return to action with IMCA SportMod, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks in action as well. Cole Traugott has enjoyed the hot hand in recent Modified action by topping three of the four most recent events. The SportMods added another winner to the list with Daylon Bergeron topping this past week­end’s card to become the 13th different winner in the last 15 events. Saturday’s action goes green at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30.

Kids’ Night is Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway 

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – After a busy weekend for the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic, Cottage Grove Speedway returns for racing on Saturday, June 4. The event is billed as Kids’ Night, which means young fans ages 12 and under get in to the grandstand for free. There is also going to be a bike giveaway during intermission with several bikes for all different ages.  Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are on the evening’s card. Pit gates open at 2 p.m., the front gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at approximately 6:30 p.m.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprint cars join Badlands Motor Speedway’s Saturday lineup

BRANDON, S.D. – Good things are in store this season for IMCA EMI RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers and fans of the winged division at Badlands Motor Speedway. The sanctioned division returns to weekly shows at the much-renovated dirt facility in Brandon. Opening night is Saturday, May 28. “Saturday is going to be a big night for racing around here and we’re glad to have the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars part of that,” said promoter Tom Savage. “We love this division and we love the affordability.” Constructed in 1954 and open every season but two since, the former Huset’s Speedway was purchased by Chuck Brennan of the Badlands Entertainment Group last spring. Brennan hired Savage, whose resume includes public relations posts with Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indy Car, the NFL and NBA. More than six million dollars of renovations have already been completed and include new lighting, grandstand seating and electrical work.
