Beat Inflation this Saturday at Park Jefferson

By Mark Adkins  JEFFERSON, S.D. (July 12, 2022) – The racing will be as hot as the sultry July temperatures Saturday, July 16, at Park Jefferson International Speedway. However, the ticket prices will be cool as a cucumber for fans of all ages. As part of a special Beat Inflation promotion, tickets are $9 for adults and just one dollar for kids. Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing getting underway at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.parkjeff.com/, the Internet home of Park Jefferson International Speedway. A full show of season points competition in Friesen Performance IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car,  IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact divisions is on Saturday’s schedule.

Weekly racing, Benton County Fair highlight busy week at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (June 14, 2022) – A full schedule is in store for race fans at Benton County Speedway. Weekly racing on Sunday, plus opening night of the Benton County Fair Thursday will offer a double-dose of oval track action. Prior to Benton County Fair festivities, IMCA weekly racing will continue on Father’s Day Sunday, June 19. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by KISS Country 96.5, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Vermedahl Logistics, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, and INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct will all be back in action Sunday. Weekly racing will also kick off grandstand entertainment for the Benton County Fair Thursday, June 23. Weekly racing, candy dash on tap this Sunday at Benton Co. Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 7, 2022) – The weekly racing season continues this Sunday, June 12, at Benton County Speedway with a sweet treat thrown in during intermission. The annual candy dash, which established a Guinness World Record in weight of candy offered for such an event one year ago, will be held on the front stretch for the youth in attendance. Opening night Saturday at new look Shelby County Speedway

HARLAN, Iowa (June 2, 2022) – First reviews are in and drivers turning laps during an open practice session raved about new-look Shelby County Speedway. The historic dirt oval at Harlan was reconfigured this spring from a big 4/10’s to what promoter Doug Batz described as “a momentum third.” Banking was increased around the track, which remains some 80 feet wide.  “We had 40-plus cars here for practice on a Sunday and everybody really seemed to like the track,” Batz reported. “We had some people who normally don’t race with us unless it was a special say they’re going to race with us weekly because they like smaller tracks.” Performance Grading of Harlan, a company long associated with racing in general and Shelby County Speedway in particular, did the dirt work.  “We had people here all the time watching them work on the track starting in April,” said Batz. “They started thinking the track wasn’t as small as they thought it would be. Weekly racing continues Sunday at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (June 1, 2022) – After a weekend celebrating the anniversary of the IMCA Modified division, weekly racing will resume Sunday, June 5 for all six divisions at Benton County Speedway. And the points battles remain close in all six classes. Joel Rust and Dylan Thornton are tied for the point lead heading into the second month of the season in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by KISS Country 96.5 while Leah Wroten has a three point lead at the top of the standings in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Vermedahl Logistics. CARB Night Friday at US 36 Raceway

(May 20, 2022) – Racing returns to US 36 Raceway Friday, May 20 with six IMCA divisions seeing action on the high banks.  Adding to the excitement it is CARB Night with all Central Auto Racing Booster members getting in free to the grandstands by presenting their CARB membership card at the grandstand gate.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA STARS Mod Lites, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern Sport Mods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts all vie for that checkered flag and first-place trophy.  Pit passes are $35. In addition to free grandstand admission for CARB members displaying membership cards, spectator admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and older and active military and veterans, $5 for kids ages 7-12 $5 and kids ages six and under are free. $1,000 to win IMCA Stock Cars headline May 22 action at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (May 17, 2022) – A hefty payday will be on the line for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Vermedahl Logistics May 22 at Benton County Speedway. The Sunday event pays $1,000 to win and earns the feature winner qualifying eligibility for the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational at this year’s IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. In addition to the hefty winner’s share, the Stock Car feature will pay $100 to start. There is no entry fee. The Bullring is back in action May 15

VINTON, Iowa (May 10, 2022) – Increased purse money will be up for grabs Sunday, May 15 at Benton County Speedway. Billed as the Dirt Knights TV Special, five weekly divisions will compete on the quarter-mile Bullring for the second night of weekly points racing. A winner’s share of $750 will be on the line in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by KISS Country 96.5, while winners of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company will pocket $500 each. Spring Showdown starts new season at Sheridan

SHERIDAN, Wy. (April 27, 2022) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds are on the program both nights as Sheridan Speedway opens the new race season with the April 30-May 1 Spring Showdown. Modifieds race for $450 to win on Saturday and for $750 to win on Sunday. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Shaw Race Cars Western Region, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded both nights.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Racing is at 6 p.m.  Pit passes are $30 and car and driver is $35.
