IMCA Modifieds chase $1,000 check at I-37 opener

PLEASANTON, Texas (March 22, 2023) – Saturday’s season opener at I-37 Speedway sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win along with qualifying eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.  Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 4 p.m. for the March 25 lidlifter. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, GRT Race Cars South Central Region, Texas State and track points will be awarded.  Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $16 for adults, $11 for seniors, military and First Responders, and $6 for kids, with five and under free. Friday’s practice session at Pleasanton runs from 6-9:30 p.m. Pit passes are 420.

IMCA Late Models return to weekly shows at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa (March 21, 2023) – Night two of the Spring Fling special marks the return of IMCA Sunoco Late Models to Crawford County Speedway. The Saturday, April 22 show is the first for the division at Denison in a decade. Bald Tire Bash, Sport Compact Super Sunday August 14 at Benton County

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 10, 2022) – There’s something for everyone this Sunday at Benton County Speedway. Due to last week’s postponed event, the August 14 racing program at The Bullring is going to be chock full of excitement as the season enters its final weeks. The Bald Tire Bash, paying $2,000 to the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature, will headline on-track action Sunday night. All competitors must use tires with a maximum tread depth of 5/32”. The Stock Car winner also earns B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility.  Sunday’s Stock Car feature pays $200 to start. There is no entry fee. IMCA Late Model Super Sunday this weekend at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (July 19, 2022) – Late Model fans have their Sunday covered this weekend at Benton County Speedway. IMCA Sunoco Late Models will compete for a $1,000 winner’s share in their lone appearance of the season July 24 during Super Sunday action at The Bullring, presented by Midwest Buildings Inc. and Christie Door Company. Previous scheduled appearances for the division this season were weathered out, making this Sunday the one chance this year to see Late Models in action on the quarter-mile. Opening night Saturday at new look Shelby County Speedway

HARLAN, Iowa (June 2, 2022) – First reviews are in and drivers turning laps during an open practice session raved about new-look Shelby County Speedway. The historic dirt oval at Harlan was reconfigured this spring from a big 4/10’s to what promoter Doug Batz described as “a momentum third.” Banking was increased around the track, which remains some 80 feet wide.  “We had 40-plus cars here for practice on a Sunday and everybody really seemed to like the track,” Batz reported. “We had some people who normally don’t race with us unless it was a special say they’re going to race with us weekly because they like smaller tracks.” Performance Grading of Harlan, a company long associated with racing in general and Shelby County Speedway in particular, did the dirt work.  “We had people here all the time watching them work on the track starting in April,” said Batz. “They started thinking the track wasn’t as small as they thought it would be. CARB Night Friday at US 36 Raceway

(May 20, 2022) – Racing returns to US 36 Raceway Friday, May 20 with six IMCA divisions seeing action on the high banks.  Adding to the excitement it is CARB Night with all Central Auto Racing Booster members getting in free to the grandstands by presenting their CARB membership card at the grandstand gate.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA STARS Mod Lites, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern Sport Mods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts all vie for that checkered flag and first-place trophy.  Pit passes are $35.
