Harris brings broom to Natural Bridge

(May 25, 2024) – On the first hot humid night of the season, Jerald Harris was on a hot streak sweeping his heat and feature for his second Virginia Sprint Series feature win of the year. Harris and Matthew Leach paced the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field at Natural Bridge Speedway to green and Harris was out first with Leach, Chris Humblet and John Scarborough in tow. On lap two, Leach spun in turn two to reload the field and Harris took off again with Humblet and Scarborough racing for second. On lap five, Leach and John Smith got together, ending the night for both. Harris took off with Humblet and Scarborough right with him Dylan Shatzer and Caleb Harris were racing for fourth. IMCA anniversary wins at Boone go to Berry, Anderson

There were 172 cars checked in for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend event that included extra money on the line for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, celebrating their 45th anniversary and the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, celebrating 19 years of racing. It was also a Stealth Racing Corn Belt Clash race for the IMCA STARS Mod Lites. It was Tom Berry Jr. taking top honors in the IMCA Modifieds, in an exciting race for the fans that witnessed a “slide fest.” Austin Bouzek got his first win at the track when he took the checkers in the IMCA Sunoco Stock car “A” main. Garrigan does it again while Mass dominates at Black Hills

By Ben Deatherage RAPID CITY, S. D. – The high-horsepower half-mile clay oval of Black Hills Speedway roared to life again on Friday, for the third race of the 2024 campaign. Competitors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Modified Hobby Stocks were in action. At the drop of the green flag in the Modified main, Eric Mass immediately went to work and took the race lead from starting third going into the first corner. The Rapid City driver was looking for redemption from the week before when mechanical woes forced him to retire early. Whether out in the open or dealing with a bit of lapped traffic, Mass dominated the field to the checkers. It was his second victory of the season. In the Stars, Stripes and Sirens special, three first-time IMCA winners at the track in 2024 graced victory lane. Jeremy Mills used the top side of the track to score his first win at the speedway this season in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. He fended off a couple strong charges by second place finisher Tim Ward who was making time on the inside through turns one and two. Already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, Mills banked $1,000 for his career 137th win in the class. Early restart sparks Craver at Electric City

Devon Jadwin set the tone, leading early before a lap three restart resulting from what proved to be from the feature’s lone caution bunched the field up. This allowed Cory Craver to propel himself to the top position, setting the stage for a thrilling battle. While Craver started to waltz away from the rest of the pack, Jadwin, last week’s winner Tyler Leach and Cody Kuglin fought over second. Under the green flag racing conditions, Craver found his rhythm on the high side of the track. Jadwin held off Leach and Kuglin but a new challenger emerged in the form of Kolby Hannah for the runner-up position. (May 19, 2024) – The River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series’ return to BAPS Motor Speedway Sunday was just what Zach Rhodes and the Weaver Racing team needed, as they posted a wire-the-field performance for win number one in 2024.
