Strickler scores at Seymour 

SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 28) – North Carolina visitor Kyle Strickler raced to his first Seymour Speed­way Budweiser IMCA Modified feature win Sunday night. Rooke Konnor Wilinski opened a lead on the field by midway of what would be a non-stop race. Chad Bartel was still in the runner up spot with Strickler moving up from 10th to third. Strickler closed in on the leader, was able to work by into the top spot on lap 15 and pulled away over the final laps to record his first-ever Seymour Speedway win.  Wilinski  ran to his best finish of the season, taking second. Bartel was third. Chas Van Ooyen powered by for the lead on lap three and stayed in front to the finish of the Coors Light IMCA Stock Car main event. Cody Schroeder and Kevin Bethke were scored in first before Lucas Lamberies took over the top spot on lap 18 and held on to capture his fourth local Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod victory of the season.

$1,000 to win IMCA Modified feature at 34 Raceway on The Fourth

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Top prize for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds is $1,000 this Saturday, July 4 at 34 Raceway. Roberts Tire Center makes the payout possible. The holiday show is a qualifying event for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Also on the card for Young House Family Services Night are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, as well as 305 sprint cars, midgets and 4-cylinders. Fireworks follow the race program. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for students and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $25.

Coon aces Arlington Modified main

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 27) –Saturday’s MN 93 IMCA Modified feature saw Jeff Coon take over the lead on lap eight and pick up his first trophy this year in green to checkered fashion Satur­day at Arlington Raceway. Dan Menk started ninth and finished second with Nick Helmbrecht taking third. Brent Uecker was victorious in the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car feature, picking up his first win of the season. Uecker got around Dave Moriarty and remained the leader ahead of Jeff McCollum and Dan Macken­thun. Brett Allen hold onto the lead throughout multiple restarts to pick up his first 95.7 The Rock IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car checkers. Muench masters Thunderhill Stocks 

By Edward Anschutz STURGEON BAY, Wis. (June 28) – Troy Muench withstood all challenges to capture his first local IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win of the season Sunday at Thunderhill Raceway. Muench moved from the outside pole and into the lead before action was red flagged on lap two after Kyle Resch rolled in turn four. Resch emerged unscathed but his machine was done for the night. On the restart, Scott Reinhardt and Dave Bouche chased after Muench. With Muench running low, Reinhardt went to the top groove and pulled even. Lap after lap, Reinhardt worked high as Bouche worked over the leader’s rear bumper. With three laps remaining, Reinhardt nabbed the lead but Muench came storming back underneath to retake the lead and the victory. Dave Bouche was able to get second on the final lap, Reinhardt placed third. Point leader Meyer paces Sport Compacts at Off Road

(June 27)  – Ramsey Meyer, the point leader in the Mach-1 Sport Compact divi­sion, added to his advantage in the standings with his second local feature win of the season at Off Road Speedway. After starting toward the back, Meyer spent the race working his way through traffic toward the front. With three laps remaining he then took advantage of the race’s only caution, which sent the cars into a single-file restart, to pass Lance Mielke coming out of turn four on the final lap for the win. Max Anderson finished in third. Kyle Prauner won his sixth Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature in as many attempts after starting in the sixth row. Jason Wilkinson picked up his third win of the season in seven local IMCA Sunoco Stock Car starts. Jeremy Hoskinson prevailed in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock tilt.

Cox takes Chamber of Commerce Night checkers at Cottage Grove 

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (June 27) – Another Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified battle for the ages unfolded on Chamber of Commerce Night Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway. Kinzer Cox and Kreg Britton exchanged the lead on numerous occasions over the course of the first eight circuits, Britton running the high side and Cox working the bottom. Cox finally secured the lead on lap nine and kept in front of all challengers to win his third local feature of the season. Greg McDonald was second and third went to Curtis Towns. Eric Ashley and Britton completed the top five.

Ward takes second straight at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (June 25) – Tim Ward used a late-race pass to win his second straight Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature Thursday at Kossuth County Speedway. Ward passed race-long leader Derek Green with two laps to go. Jesse Hoeft found the fast line behind Ward and finished second while Green ended in third. Kevin Opheim was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner while George Nordman used a restart with five laps left to take the lead and the win in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod contest. Late-race heroics were also the story for the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, as Jeremy Wegner passed Austin Hauswirth on the final turn. Nate Coopman continued to dominate the Mach-1 Sport Compacts, winning his sixth straight fea­ture as he came from outside the fourth row.

Ireland, Graham win at Sunset 

By Ben Deatherage BANKS, Ore. (June 27) – A late-race pass put Rob Ireland in victory lane on Fan Appreciation Night at Sunset Speedway Park. The Budweiser IMCA Modified checkers were his second of the season and came ahead of Craig Cassell and Kristi Somers. Pamela Graham also got the lead late and drove to her third Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod victory of 2015.

Foulger defends home turf with Summer Nationals win at Antioch

ANTIOCH, Calif. (June 27) – When Bobby Hogge IV comes to town, the intensity of competition goes up a notch at Antioch Speedway. Add North Carolina-based NASCAR star Kenny Wallace, a consummate dirt track driver, and the bar is raised even higher. Four-time track champion Troy Foulger rose to the occasion, showing the visitors the fast way to the finish line as he won the Antioch Speedway Summer Nationals main event on Saturday night. Foulger was not about to let Hogge or Wallace rule in the $2,500 to win Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified main event. He and Hogge waged a cat-and-mouse battle for first right up to the fall of the checkered flag. Cheered on by a full grandstand of fans standing up for the final two laps, Foulger scored a vic­tory for the local racers. Wallace finished 10th.
