Record 1,004 pre-entries for 40th annual IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – The records continue to fall before the first green flag of the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s even waves. The number of drivers pre-entered hit 1,004 Friday morning, 82 more than the previous mark set last year. 2022 entries come from a record 29 states and four Canadian provinces. “Super Nationals has been the biggest event not only in IMCA but in all of dirt track racing for much of its history,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “We are honored that so many drivers want to be part of the 40th annual event. Qualifying starts tonight at RaceSaver Nationals

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2022) – The first night of the 10th annual IMCA Racesaver Nationals went off without a hitch Thursday evening at Eagle Raceway. Mother Nature cooperated, giving us a beautiful afternoon and evening with a nice breeze as the fans watched several sets of hot laps to allow the out-of-towners a chance to get reacclimated with the high-banked 1/3-mile oval. After hot laps were done there were five heats of IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars attempting to be a part of Saturday’s Race of Champions. Plenty of Sprints were on hand, with a good deal more expected on site as quite a few of the regulars at America’s Home Track will join them in the house beginning on Friday. B & B All-Star Invitational eligible list adds three

VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – Three more drivers will contend for starting spots in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. Nathan Ballard and Aaron Spangler both won weekly qualifying events while former IMCA Late Model driver Mike Smith now of Kellogg won the First Time Winner special at Boone Speedway. Dallon Murty and Elijah Zevenbergen also won qualifying events but were already eligible.  Remaining qualifying events include the Friday night program at US 36 Raceway, Saturday’s Prelude at Boone Speedway and Labor Day Clash shows at Mohave Valley Raceway and Mighty Axe Shows at North Central Speedway.  And the winner of this weekend’s Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America Stock Car Championship at Batesville Motor Speedway becomes the final automatic qualifier for the second annual event.  All-Star qualifying is on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Zevenbergen dominates Governor’s Cup at U.S. 30 Speedway

(Sept. 1, 2022) – Elijah Zevenbergen can add a new title on his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car resume: Governor’s Cup winner.  Zevenbergen led the distance in winning the inaugural event and $2,000 Thursday night at Abe’s U.S. 30 Speedway. He also became the seventh different winner in as many Stock Car Crown Summer Series presented by Herbster Angus Farms events this season.  Cameron Wilkinson started on the pole for the 30-lap main event but outside row one starter Zevenbergen jumped to lead. Wilkinson developed a tire rub on lap nine which brought out a caution. His team make the repairs and got him back on the track. Hogz, Skinz & Sudz pit party planned for Sunday before Super Nationals at Boone

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – Drivers and race fans will enjoy of great-tasting pork and an adult beverage or two when they party in the pits on the Sunday night before the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Pulled pork and pork loin sandwiches, potato chips and Busch Light will be served starting at 8 p.m. Sept. 4 at Todd Van Eaton’s pit stall near championship row north of the track.  The Hogz, Skinz & Sudz pit party continues until everything is gone.  In addition to Van Eaton Pork, party sponsors include Fox Welding, Big Frig, Camp Chef, JBS, Wreckers or Checkers Bar and BW Outdoors.  Cody Hicks performs at 10 p.m. both nights of the Prelude Saturday and Sunday.

Guaranteed to be a “10,” IMCA RaceSaver Nationals kick off at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2022) – An event that’s guaranteed to be a “10” kicks off tonight at Eagle Raceway. More than 100 IMCA Sprint Car drivers from 13 states and New Zealand are in town for the Thursday practice session and race of champions qualifying that set the stage for the 10th annual RaceSaver Nationals. They’ll race for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $1,500 to start the Sunday, Sept. 4 main event, with IMCA adding a $1,500 bonus to the winning driver provided they had made at least one 2022 sanctioned start coming into the weekend. VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 31, 2022) – Three more Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers have raced their way to Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Dallas Everett prevailed at Central Arkansas Motor Speedway’s Johnny Wise Memorial. Craig Cassell topped Sunset Speedway’s Doug Walters Classic and Mark Wauge was the Saturday winner at Southern Oregon Speedway. Winners of qualifying events already eligible were Austen Becerra, Tom Berry Jr., Jerry Flippo, Bricen James, Austin Kiefer, Jake Nightingale, Collin Thirlby and Nick Trenchard.
