
Luinenburg Wins Wild Stock Car Showdown at Marshalltown Frostbuster
By Ben Deatherage MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Apr. 4, 2025) — Justin Luinenburg held off a pair of heavyweights in a dramatic finish to win the 25-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Marshalltown Speedway in the opening round of the 2025 Frostbuster series. The Reading, Minnesota, driver, a three-time Murray County Speedway track champion and 2015 Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock National titleholder, fought off Maguire DeJong early and then survived a three-wide duel in the final corner. Three-time Marshalltown Stock Car titlist Steve Meyer gave chase early while Kelly Shryock worked into third in the Mike Hauan-owned Lake Mills Motorsports No. 3. Shryock, last year’s Super Nationals Stock Car winner, eventually battled with Meyer for second before two-time Super Nationals champ Dallon Murty joined the fray.
