Kennedale Speedway Park hosts Showdown special this weekend

KENNEDALE, Texas – Kennedale Speedway Park’s eighth annual Showdown special is Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4, with four IMCA divisions on the card. Topless IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, topless Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars all run for $1,500 to win. The Modified feature is a qualifier for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot Pit gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 for registration and a 6-10 p.m. practice session. Pit passes that evening are $15 and grandstand admission is free. IMCA Modifieds headline Oct. 3-4 Mid-America Clash at Salina

SALINA, Kan. (Sept. 29) – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for as much as $7,500 to win at Salina Speedway’s Mid-America Clash on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4. First place will pay $3,500 if there are 39 or fewer entries, $5,000 if there are between 40 and 74 entries, and $7,500 if there are 75 or more Modifieds entered in the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Using the same guidelines, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $1,000, $2,000 or $3,500 to win. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $500, $1,000 or $2,000 to win. Final point races of 2014 this weekend

VINTON, Iowa – Final point races of the 2014 IMCA weekly point season are this weekend, Sept. 26-28. Champions and rookies of the year for eight divisions will be announced as soon as possible after bonus points are figured. All standings for the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock and Mach-1 Sport Compact classes, as well as West Coast Super Stocks become official at noon CST on Monday, Oct. 27. The IMCA national awards banquet will be Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Neb. Tickets will be $35. Gemmill cashes in at Thunder On The Hill

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Sept. 20) – Hank Berry made history and $2,000 when IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds made their debut at Jamestown Speedway’s 43rd annual Stock Car Stampede special.
