Sean Jerovetz earns top payday, spot in point standings at Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Aug. 23) – The bonus that Sean Jerovetz got along with a big payday at Oshkosh Speedzone’s George Scheffler Memorial was sole possession of the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified point lead. Jerovetz turned back repeated challenges by Marcus Yarie after the pair ran side-by-side for a dozen laps of the Friday night feature. In addition to the $1,000 top prize and a berth of the ballot for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, Jerovetz also gained a five point advantage over cousin Troy heading into the final weekly show of the season. Brian Mullen, Benji LaCrosse and Mitch McGrath were next to the checkers. Eric Scribner sat on the pole for the 20-lap contest but it was Speedzone regular John Schultz taking the lead on the opening lap. Hobby checkers fly for Moede at Luxemburg

By Greg Aregoni LUXEMBURG, Wis. (Aug. 23) – A caution on lap two was the only halt to Derek Moede’s drive to the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers at Luxemburg Speedway. Dean Anhalt led the opening lap before giving way to Moede. Dan Van Pay worked in behind the leader on the third lap and kept the pressure while allowing Scott Boulanger to join the fun. Van Pay and Boulanger exchanged racing lines and positions over the final half of the race. Each took their stab at Moede but were unsuccessful. Moede picked up the win and will carry a two point advantage over Van Pay heading into the Aug. 30 season championships. Van Pay beat Boulanger to the checkered flag. Anhalt and Sawyer Haese rounded out the top five. Moore Outduels Blood in Wild Grays Harbor Modified Thriller

(Apr. 26, 2025) — Craig Moore of Seabeck led all 25 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Grays Harbor Raceway, but to earn his first win of the 2025 season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region was anything but easy. Moore took command at the drop of the green, quickly distancing himself from Scott Miller while the action behind was absolute chaos. The race from third through eighth went two- and even three-wide early on, as Tyson Blood carved his way forward from the 10th starting position. After a pair of early cautions, Austin Rognlin powered into second and Blood cracked the top three. Banks Blasts from Thirteenth to First at Lincoln County

Banks stole the show Saturday night at Lincoln County Raceway, roaring from 13th on the grid to the front of the pack to win an electrifying Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. The driver out of Brush, Colorado made his move just past the halfway mark and never looked back, collecting both the victor’s purse and his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region triumph of 2025. Robert Leonard and Tyler Barribo completed the podium after a hard-fought battle behind him. In the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, Jacob Olmstead of Overton thrilled fans with a masterful drive from 10th to first. Logan Veloz Takes First Late Model Win at Davenport

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2025) — Logan Veloz scored his first ever Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature win. The 21-year-old Colona, Illinois driver took the lead of the race on lap 3 and never looked back. Veloz becomes the third different Late Model feature winner at Davenport in as many races this season. Travis Denning started on the pole in the race and led the first two laps before finishing second. Evan Miller was third. The full field of Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds was sprinkled with some top-name talent. Wisconsin’s Skyler Woods jumped out to the early lead in the 20-lap main. However, the race would be halted by a red flag on lap 5. An eight-car pile-up on the frontstretch blocked most of the track. All drivers involved were able to walk away from the incident.
