Super Nationals-bound Herrera sets winning pace at Price

He brought home the $1,000 grand prize sponsored by the Desert Thunder Raceway Foundation. Torrential downpour and brief flooding postponed Saturday’s races but the crew at Desert Thunder worked tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly. The young Herrera was not deterred. Sept. 3-4 Prelude sets stage for 40th IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 25, 2022) – Drivers in five IMCA divisions will get some important racing laps in, while drivers in a sixth will crown a champion during the eighth annual Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4. All aboard! Union Pacific will meet with prospective employees at Super Nationals

Mother Nature doesn’t stop season championship night at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 20, 2022) – It was season championships presented by Casey’s at the Boone Speedway Saturday night. Mother Nature tried her best to spoil the evening’s festivities but she didn’t succeed. The great track prep workers rolled it back in and racing went on as planned, although the green flag dropped an hour and a half later than scheduled. With the time factor taken into consideration, the heats were dropped, and “B” features were run to determine final qualifiers for the features that had the top 20 in points locked in. The IMCA STARS Mod Lites ran their 20-lap feature first. Joel Huggins grabbed the immediate lead from his outside front row starting spot and never looked back. He won going away at the checkers. Bryan Zehm finished a distant second and Randy Bryan was third. This was Huggins’ fourth feature win of the year and he is the unofficial 2022 track champion.
