Top drivers in four divisions featured in races of champions at Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – One of the premier races for IMCA Modifieds marks a milestone during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The 30th annual Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions will feature a dozen drivers battling for $1,000 to win and a career-type highlight on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Boone Speedway. Also on the championship day card are the 17th annual Sunoco Face Fuels Race of Champions for Stock Cars and ninth annual BSB Manufacturing Race of Champions for Northern SportMods and Stephenville Starter Race of Champions for Hobby Stocks. Super Nationals will boast a super purse

BOONE, Iowa – The purse is every bit as super as the event itself. Shares of nearly $300,000 will be paid out to drivers competing at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Add to that the approximate $60,000 in contingency awards and there’s no doubt the 36th annual version of America’s Racin’ Vacation will contin­ue to be the most prestigious, top-paying event for grassroots racers. “Maintaining reasonable entry fees and admission prices while provid­ing the best possible purse structure has always been a goal at Super Nationals,” explained IMCA President Brett Root. “We have been able to accomplish that because of the great contingency award support given by IMCA spon­sors.” The Saturday, Sept. 8 Modified main event boasts a potential $7,000 paycheck for the winner. Duffers golf tourney benefits Shop With a Cop

BOONE, Iowa – When they tee it up for the 29th annual Duffers National Tournament at Cedar Pointe Golf Course, golfers in town for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will help support the local Shop With A Cop. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7 for the four-person best shot tournament. Cost is $40 per person, which includes nine holes of golf, a golf cart and lunch, and entries will be taken right up until tee time. Each team is required to have at least one registered Super Nationals driver, IMCA official or Boone Speedway official. The winning foursome earns $200 with $100 paid to the second place team. Remaining proceeds again go to Shop With A Cop, which sees youngsters accompanied local law enforcement officers to pick out Christmas presents at Wal-Mart. Fan Zone continues to be center of off-track activities during week of Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – There will be plenty to see and enjoy through­out the week of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in the Fan Zone, located south of the main grandstands at Boone Speedway. Nu­merous events each day of America’s Racin’ Vacation Sept. 3-8. The Casey’s General Store redraw for starts in the front two rows of the Deery Brothers Summer Series main event will be held at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday. BOONE, Iowa – The number of drivers already entered for the Sept. 3-8 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s is impressive. So are all the states they’re coming to Boone Speedway from, to be part of America’s Racin’ Vacation. “Our pre-registration numbers are over 500 and running ahead of last year. Second round of voting adds three more first-time All-Stars

BOONE, Iowa – Cayden Carter, Joel Rust and Kody Scholpp will make career-first Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational starts on Sept. 7 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. All three advanced from the second round of IMCA Modified All-Star voting, which concluded Thursday afternoon. Thirteen drivers in all were elected, in polling conducted through the IMCA Facebook page. Jay Noteboom will take the green for a record-extending 11th time while Tim Ward and Chris Abelson each make their eighth starts. Kyle Strickler is in for the sixth time. Four-time All-Stars are Kelly Shryock and Jason Wolla. Ethan Dotson and Kyle Brown both make their third All-Star starts while Clint Luellen and Cody Laney are both in for the second time in their respective careers. First round of voting yields seven first-time All-Star candidates 

BOONE, Iowa – Seven of the first 15 drivers elected to the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational will make career-first starts when the event hits the track Friday, Sept. 7 at Boone Speedway. First-time All-Stars are Troy Foulger, Chaz Baca, Zachary Madrid, Shane Hiatt, Tyler Frye, Chris Elliott and Austin Wonch. Steven Bowers Jr. was elected to his second All-Star race, Will Ward to his third and Hunter Marriott and Kevin Sustaire both to their fourth. Richie Gustin and A.J. Ward are both in for the fifth time, Ricky Thornton Jr. and William Gould both for the sixth. Thornton, who became a new father earlier this week, had the top vote total among the 139 drivers on the first-round ballot.
