Deery Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for opening night

TIPTON, Iowa – The Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for another opening night show this Saturday. The April 20 event marks the second time in as many years that the IMCA Late Model tour has started its season at Tipton, where defending champion Justin Kay of Wheatland has won the last four series events. That equals a feat accomplished by just one other driver through the series’ first 32 years. Mark Burgtorf of Quincy, Ill., won four straight Deery features at Lee County Speedway from 1998-2000. Maquoketa, Dubuque Deery events postponed

MAQUOKETA, Iowa (April 13) – Forecasts calling for less than pleasant temperatures Saturday and Sunday have resulted in postponements of Deery Brothers Summer Series events at Maquoketa Speedway and at Dubuque Speedway. Both IMCA Late Model tour events are to be rescheduled. The 33rd annual Deery Series now opens at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton with a $2,000 to win, minimum $300 to start main event next Saturday, April 20. Woodhull Raceway To Sanction IMCA Modifieds In 2025

(Apr. 16, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds are returning to “New York’s Toughest Bullring” in 2025, as Woodhull Raceway becomes part of the Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing program with five sanctioned events scheduled from May through September. Located in the Southern Tier of the Empire State, the 1/3-mile oval will host one IMCA Modified event each month, highlighted by the prestigious Sean Lias Memorial on July 26. The Memorial, now relocated to Woodhull, will pay $1,037 to win and $125 to start, and serve as a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier.
