Early entries at 70 for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – Two words of advice from Roger Hadan regarding the upcoming RaceSaver Nationals? Register now. Seventy IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers have already taken that advice and are signed up to compete in the sixth annual event, to be held Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at Eagle Raceway. “Go online and pre-enter. It’s only $15 and it gets you a pit stall,” said RaceSaver boss and Eagle promoter Hadan. “Drivers who don’t enter by Aug. 23 will pay $50 and won’t be guaranteed a pit stall.” Joining a strong contingent of home state hot shoes thus far will be RaceSaver competitors making the tow to the Nebraska speedplant from California, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas and Virginia. Schidler flies to Eagle first

(July 21) – On the night 180 bicycles were given to young fans, Joe Schidler four-wheeled his way to his first Hoosier Racing Tire IMCA Northern SportMod feature win at Eagle Raceway. Schidler took the lead on the second lap and collected the Saturday checkers ahead of Gunnar Pike and Shawn Harker. “I couldn’t see what was going on behind me but I was hoping that it was the case that I was pulling away from the field,” he said. “The track was pretty good tonight, smooth in spots and tacky in other spots and that suits my driving style.” Dan Nelson made it to straight Runner Freight IMCA Modified victories and Kaleb Johnson earned his first local IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car laurels. Colby Kaspar earned his first Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock main event win and Trenten Fugett made it two straight in the ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compacts.

Danley races to RaceSaver Sprint checkers at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 23) – Joey Danley became the first repeat IMCA Sprint RaceSaver Sprint Car winner of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night. Danley snagged the lead near midway and beat Trevor Grossenbacher to the checkers. “After two rough weeks we got it done again and that feels pretty good. The track was tacky and rough. It was a ‘Cowboy Up’ track, and that’s what we like because it puts the race in the hands of the driver,” Danley said. “We started eighth and ran up to the front quick, but a couple of cars got crossed up there and Trevor got by me. Eagle Raceway primed for sixth annual IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car teams from across the country will head to Eagle Raceway for the Aug. 30-Sept. 2 RaceSaver Nationals. The sixth annual event concludes with a $2,500 to win, $1,250 to start main event. Entries are again expected to surpass the 100 mark for the biggest RaceSaver show of the season. “The growth of not only the RaceSaver division itself but the participation at RaceSaver Nationals is something to behold,” said Eagle Promoter Roger Hadan. “The car count continues to surpass any other Sprint Car race in the country and the number of fans who come to America’s Home Track every Labor Day Weekend grows annually as well.” Drivers can go to the www.eagleraceway.com website to pre-register and receive a free, reserved pit stall now, at a cost of $15. Beckman is best in Eagle Hobby Stock main

(June 9) – Nick Beckman grabbed the lead on lap two and held off all challengers in winning Saturday’s Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Eagle Raceway. “I’d say it’s been four years since I’ve been on the front stretch here. It feels really good to be back in a Hobby Stock,” he said. “I knew I had to get out front and run away. I’m just glad that I was able to hold off all of the fast drivers.” Scott Bivens got the lead on the 11th circuit in winning the Hoosier Racing Tire IMCA Northern SportMod main. Likewise, it had been a while since he’d been to victory lane at Eagle. “It’s been a year and a half since my last win, at least,” Bivens said post-race. “But we just keep chugging along. Densberger delivers at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 2) – Mike Densberger ended a too-long absence from victory lane at Eagle Raceway with Saturday’s Runner Freight IMCA Modified checkers. The fifth starting Densberger passed Mike Lineberry for second on lap three and grabbed the lead the next time around. Jordan Grabouski, who had to transfer through the ‘B’ feature took over fourth with four to go and vaulted into second after two more laps but didn’t have enough time to make a play for the front spot. “It’s been a long time, almost three years now. (May 26) – Mark Pace was scored first every time around the track in winning his first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature Saturday at Eagle Raceway. “We parked it tonight on the front stretch, finally!” he said from victory lane. “I love a dryslick race track like we had tonight. Whenever a track takes rubber I always smell it first and get right into it. It makes you a driver. I also like a heavy track where it’s elbows up, but this kind of track is more technique.” Joey Danley, Toby Chapman and Mike Boston rounded out the top four. Oaks soars to first win at Eagle

(May 12) – Steffen Oaks took the lead with four laps left en route to taking the first checkers of his ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compact career victory Saturday at Eagle Raceway. His drive to the front started outside row four. “It took me awhile to finally get a win, with several second places, but I finally got it!,” he said post-race. “It was a really fast track tonight, but man, those bumps about got me a few times. I managed to keep it straight and hold on for the win.” Casey Moyer won his first Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature since the 2012 season and Lance Borgman raced from 10th starting to win the Purdue University IMCA Northern SportMod main event for the third time already this season at Eagle. Jordan Grabouski got the lead early in winning the Runner Freight IMCA Modified feature and Tyler Drueke took charge with nine laps remaining in winning the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature.

Royal Flush Rush feature win pays Zoubek $1,000

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (May 5) – Bob Zoubek put his name on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot with a $1,000 IMCA Modified win Saturday at Eagle Raceway’s Royal Flush Rush. Zoubek had started 10th and took the checkers ahead of Jeff Schroyer. “The track was really racy. There were two lines and they were both fast,” he said. “We just kind of came through there nice and slow and stayed out of trouble. Jeff kind of had the better line for awhile there, but I finally got around him and drove away a little.” Nate Thompson, Schroyer, Jaxon Saathoff and Justin Wulf had led the field after the initial lap. Adam Gullion not only won his heat and the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car eature but his second car, driven by Zach Blurton, won its heat and came in second in the main. “It was definitely nice.
