Sports Park Raceway postponed, Benton County Speedway to host Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights opener

FORT DODGE, Iowa (May 21) – Rain has been declared the winner of tonight’s Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour event at Sports Park Raceway.  The Fort Dodge speedplant was to host opening night for the 10th annual tour for IMCA Modifieds Tuesday evening. IMCA and track officials hope to reschedule that race for later this summer. The tour now gets underway on Memorial Day with a $1,500 to win, minimum $150 to start show at Benton County Speedway in Vinton. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods complete the Monday, May 27 program, to be broadcast by IMCA.TV.  The traditional home track of the IMCA Modified division, Benton County has hosted eight Dirt Knights Tour events since 2011, each of which resulted in a different winner. IMCA Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour at Sports Park Raceway for opening night

FORT DODGE, Iowa – Plenty of new lighting is already in place and concession stands have been remodeled. Four sections of aluminum bleachers will be put in place and the leader board relocated to the front stretch before Sports Park Raceway rolls out the red carpet for opening night of the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour.  IMCA Modifieds following the 10th annual tour race for $1,500 to win along with a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth on Tuesday, May 21.  “We made history last year when we opened as an IMCA track and we look forward to making it again when we host the Dirt Knights Tour for the first time,” said co-promoter Jason Vansickel. “We were excited to be IMCA sanctioned last season. $9,000-plus added to Sunday purse at Sports Park Raceway 

FORT DODGE, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and more than $9,000 has been added to the purse for Sunday’s Attig & Hobbs Weather Page Chase Race at Sports Park Raceway. The May 27 Modified main is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot-qualifying event and pays a minimum of $80 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $700 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $600 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $300 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State points, but no track points will be awarded. There is no entry fee.
